This Beloved Fast-Food Chain Is Giving Out Free Chicken Nuggets All Month Long
This summer saw quite a few new menu items from some popular fast-food chains. Several made cuts at first to streamline operations because of the coronavirus pandemic. Taco Bell, IHOP, Olive Garden, McDonald's, and Wendy's are just a few. Of course, trying out new foods at your favorites is always fun, but Wendy's in particular is making it super easy to get one of their classic favorites for free.
From now until September 27, you can get an order of the 10-piece chicken nuggets for $0 with any purchase on the Wendy's app, according to Thrillist. Literally — you can buy anything, even a small drink, and get 10 whole chicken nuggets at no cost.
The free chicken nuggets deal only works by scanning the app in-store or through the drive-thru. If you're getting delivery it won't count. To download the app, all you have to do is go to the App Store. Create a free account once the app is downloaded to activate the offers.
The chain is offering several other incentives for app users, like free large breakfast potatoes with the purchase of the Breakfast Baconator, and $2 off a combo meal, including breakfast. Plus, get a free Bacon Pub Fry with any mobile purchase. You could also get two Son of Baconator small combos for $12 through a mobile order. Or take $3 off any mobile purchase of $15 or more.
If all of that isn't enough, the chain is also offering $2 off a full-sized salad and $1 soft drinks in any size through the app, too.
Although the free chicken nuggets and other deals are appetizing, the newest cheeseburger at Wendy's might not be. The new Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger features a beef patty, Muenster cheese, three strips of bacon, honey mustard, warm beer cheese, fried onions, and pickles between a pretzel bun. However, a single contains 760 calories, 1,070 mg of sodium, and 44 g of fat. Consuming just one without a drink or fires means you hit half of the daily recommended sodium intake. You also get all of the daily recommended fat intake.
