Oats Overnight: A Review of Our New Favorite Oatmeal Brand

This new oatmeal is going to give fast food breakfasts like donuts and egg sandwiches a real run for their money. And yes, we're totally cereal, er, serious.

Mornings can be pretty hectic, which means there isn't always time for a wholesome breakfast. But would you still hit up a fast food joint if there were an easy meal solution that provided as much protein as a five-egg omelet? If we had to guess, probably not. And thanks to a new line of overnight oat mixes, aptly named Oats Overnight, you won't have to. Each packet of the brand's oats are mixed with protein powder, flaxseeds, and chia seeds, which work together to amp up the cereal's protein content to an impressive 24 to 26 grams per serving—and that's before you've even mixed in the suggested cup of milk. The packets each contain 32 percent of the day's recommended fiber intake, too!

Not only is the meal solution a filling one, it's easy and fast to make. Simply pour the contents of the packet into the complementary blender bottle along with 8-ounces of milk, shake it up, pop it in the fridge, and then let it work its magic in the fridge overnight. In the morning, give it another shake, and drink it straight out of the bottle or enjoy it with a spoon. Super easy.

The only thing we don't love about this new product is the fact that they rely on ace-k and sucralose for added sweetness. While it gets demerits for these less-than-stellar sweeteners, its otherwise-clean list of ingredients makes it a great option for those overwhelming days (or weeks!) when meal prep and cooking just aren't going to happen. There are far worse things you could order from the drive thru—or buy from the cereal aisle—after all.
