Adam Sandler Issues Hilarious Response About Getting Turned Away By IHOP

Even A-listers have to wait their turn when it comes to getting an IHOP table.

Celebrities have access to many things mere mortals can only dream of, from invitations to A-list events to reservations at the hottest restaurants. Of course, there are some exceptions—like if you're Adam Sandler trying to snag a table at IHOP.

In late April, IHOP hostess Dayanna Rodas went viral after posting a video of herself telling Sandler his daughter—both incognito in sweats and face masks—that there'd be a 30-minute wait for a table, only to have the pair head for the door after hearing the news.

"Not realizing it's Adam Sandler and telling him it's a 30min wait and him [of course] leaving [because] he's not going to wait 30mins for IHOP," Rodas captioned security footage of Sandler and his daughter standing in the restaurant's entryway.

"Pleaseee come back," Rodas jokingly begged.

While Sandler may not have been able to indulge his pancake cravings that day, it's clear there are no hard feelings toward Rodas or the beloved chain for not offering him preferential treatment.

On May 3, Sandler responded to the clip via Twitter, joking that it wasn't the wait for a table that made him head for the door.

As for Rodas, she's still hoping to get another shot to serve the star. "If you're watching this, I'm so sorry! I need you to come back," Rodas said during an interview with Inside Edition.
