Denny's Has Pancakes for Just 50 Cents Next Week

Talk about a Grand Slam!

Any fan of late-night hash browns and sky-high piles of pancakes knows that Denny's is no stranger to grand slams. In 2017, they upturned the food delivery industry with Denny's On Demand, the restaurant's own food delivery platform that works not unlike Seamless or Uber Eats. This year, in Japan—where the chain is deeply beloved—they released a popular matcha tea. And then there's the Grand Slam itself—a massive, customizable, four-item breakfast platter that's reliably guaranteed to sate even the largest appetites.

But their greatest grand slam ever is still on the way.

This morning, Denny's announced that in the first week of December it'll be kicking off a brand-new promotion: the Five Days of Denny's. (Get it? It's a play on "The 12 Days of Christmas.") From Sunday, December 1st, through Thursday, December 5th, the always-open breakfast joint will be giving away different food-themed novelty items daily on its social media channels.

To be a part of the fun, hop on Facebook and Twitter. Check the list of accounts you're following—and check it twice. If @dennysdiner is on there, you're automatically entered. You could win everything from a bacon scarf to a stack of pancake socks to a gift card. And the grand prize is, of course, the diner chain's most famous offering: an entire year of Grand Slams!

Then, for the Fifth Day of Denny's, rather than five golden rings, the chain is celebrating with five golden pancakes. On Thursday, December 5th, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., any guest can get a stack of five silver dollar buttermilk pancakes for just 50 cents.

"We love having fun with holiday traditions and are excited to bring the Five Days of Denny's giveaways to our fans who have dined with us all year long," John Dillon, the chief brand officer for Denny's, said in a press release. "We're grateful to all of our guests for choosing to dine with us and we want to extend our thanks at the start of the holiday season."

Five Days of Denny's isn't the only way the renowned pancake-maker is spreading cheer. From December 9th to December 22nd, they're also offering free delivery on any meal order placed through We'll take that over three French hens any day.
