Red Robin Bleu Ribbon Burger
If you're a fan of bleu cheese, you might have tried this tangy burger option from Red Robin. Unfortunately, it's no longer on the menu. And if you had other favorites at the restaurant chain, we have more bad news: Red Robin axed 55 menu items in June, and they won't be coming back after the coronavirus pandemic is over.
Applebee's Quesadilla Burger
This is what it sounds like: a burger patty with a quesadilla in place of a bun. You won't be surprised to learn that this offering boasted a whopping 1,770 calories, so its loss might not be such a bad thing.
Chili's Grass-Fed Burgers
When Chili's announced in 2016 that it was adding two grass-fed burger options to the menu, fans were stoked. But in 2017, the grass-fed patties were removed from Chili's menu, as were many other items.
Wendy's Carolina Classic Burger
This limited-time burger, available only in North and South Carolina, was topped with chili and coleslaw. Sadly, it's now a distant memory.
McDonald's Hula Burger
Calling this a "burger" might be a stretch—it was just a slice of pineapple, with cheese, on a bun. The Hula Burger and the Filet-O-Fish were both introduced during Lent, but the seafood option proved much more popular.
McDonald's Angus Burger
Introduced in the early 2000s, the Angus burger was an upscale alternative to regular McDonald's burgers. Unfortunately, upscale isn't what McDonald's customers were looking for.
UNO Pizzeria & Grill's Whole Hog Burger
This burger took the expression "going whole hog" to a new level. Loaded with bacon and prosciutto, as well as two burger patties, it was not a healthy choice. So its disappearance may be for the best.
